Great News our friend Dale is ok!!!!
Dear friends - I am pleased and blessed to share that the angiogram I had early this morning, showed that I did have a very small heart attack at some point in the past, earlier than 2002. That attack did no permanent damage, since the small artery on the back of my heart, which is 100 percent blocked, has been automatically replaced by a new pathway for the blood needed to keep that part of my heart healthy. Is God good or what! I feel so blessed and so in awe of our wondrous God. There is one other artery which has a slight blockage, which the Surgeon says will be taken care of by my diet, and by dropping one medication which he says I do not need anyway. How about modern medicine! The Doctor says that I can resume running as soon as the area where they inserted the probe is healed. He told me to start by walking, and to resume running as soon as I felt my breathing and body language tells me it is time. He says that I am in very good shape to have a long life, and to carry on an active lifestyle. I just woke-up from a long nap I took after returning home from the hospital. I didn't sleep very well last night, and had to be at the hospital at 6:30 this morning. Sharing this blessing with all of you was the first thing on my mind. You all, as Family, friends, and my Pastors, are much of what life on this earth is all about. I thank each of you for your prayers, encouragement, and love. With all our love, Dale & Cindy Dale (Hedrick) helad1940@hotmail.com |

I'M SORRY ABOUT NOT KEEPING ALL OF YOU UPDATED ON MY CANCER TREATMENTS. I HAVEN'T FELT SO GOOD THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS BUT AM NOW SLOWLY IMPROVING. I RECEIVED MY NEW CHEMO DRUG ( ALIMTA ) ON FRIDAY THE 9th OF MAY. THE WEEK BEFORE I STARTED HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY RIGHT HIP WHEN I PUT ANY WEIGHT ON IT THE PAIN WAS PRETTY BAD. THE DRUG CAUSED ME TO HAVE SOME UPSET WITH MY DIGESTIVE TRACT AND ALSO VERY TIRED. NEEDLESS TO SAY I HAVEN'T HAD A GOOD 2 WEEKS. LAST THURSDAY THEY PUT ME ON PAIN PILLS AND TOOK AN XRAY OF THE HIP AND TOLD ME THEY WOULD CALL WITH THE RESULTS ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON OR FRIDAY AT THE LATEST. THEY FINALLY CALLED ON FRIDAY AND SAID THE XRAYS WERE PENDING? WHEN THEY SEND ME A BILL FOR THE XRAY I THINK I SHALL TELL THEM THE CHECK IS PENDING.AN EXAMPLE OF OUR MEDICAL FACILITIES IN SPRINGFIELD. SO WE DON'T KNOW THE CAUSE OF THE PAIN IN MY HIP RIGHT NOW BUT HOPEFULLY WILL FIND OUT NEXT WEEK. I'M SURE THINGS WILL IMPROVE AND EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE. THANKS TO ALL FOR THE PRAYERS AND ALL THE CARDS AND LETTERS. TALK TO YOU ALL LATER. GOD BLESS.

The last weekend of Dec, Sheron Gould George's husband, Dave, who was at the SM 50th Reunion, was resuscitated from a cardiac arrest while at the Sea World in their home town of San Antonio. Dave is at home after a week in hospital and doing well with a defibrillator(ICD)/pacemaker and continued prayers are much appreciated for still other health concerns. The doctor said that it is a miracle that he is doing this well, we are thankful to say.
Thank you Joanie Phillips Qualls for letting us know about Sheron's husband. Please send prayers and hugs to both Sheron and her husband Dave. dsgeorge@gmail.com San Antonio, Tx. We hear that David is doing better and his Dr thinks he has made an amazing comeback. He still welcomes our prayers as he still has a long road to full recovery. January 15th David is home with pacemaker and we are happy to be able to report that he is getting better one day at a time. |
